My journey to becoming a financial planner grew naturally out of my love for strategic problem-solving and helping others. Joining Silver Oak was a natural fit—it’s an inspiring, supportive environment where I get to focus on helping clients reach their financial goals and embrace all that life has to offer.
Originally from North Carolina, I fell in love with the beauty and opportunities of the West during my time at Campbell University. There, I earned a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Trust & Wealth Management, a minor in Financial Planning, and later completed my MBA. Along the way, I gained invaluable experience through internships with both large and small financial firms, which solidified my passion for financial planning and my desire to head west after graduation.
After spending time in San Diego working with an estate settlement tech startup, I made my permanent home in Portland and joined a local trust company. These roles, spanning the fintech and trust sectors, provided a comprehensive view of the financial continuum and deepened my commitment to holistic, pragmatic financial planning. They also reinforced my passion for empowering clients to navigate their financial lives with clarity and confidence.
Outside the office, I love exploring everything the Pacific Northwest has to offer. In the winter, you’ll often find me snowboarding at Mount Hood or cozied up at home watching movies and sports with my wife and our French bulldog, Quincy. Summers are all about sunshine—a few of my favorite ways to soak it up are camping, hiking, surfing, or golfing. I’m also a big fan of exploring new restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, especially when it means sharing great food and even better conversation.
